• Since every person has different financial constraints or other limitations, which of the following would best serve your needs at this time? (We can still give you all three options to make your decision if you like).

  • 1. Do the testing and procedures that are needed to figure this out. A diagnosis will give us all the options available and let us know exactly what we need to do in the future, as well as a prognosis (what to expect in the future). This method will help prevent emergency situations in the future.
  • 2. Do the testing and procedures within certain financial limits. Indicate your recommendations in order of which is the highest priority. This method may require some additional testing and repeated visits at a later time until we determine the diagnosis.
  • 3. Let’s make an educated guess and try some treatment. This could solve the problem (at least temporarily) although we will not have a diagnosis. If the treatment does not solve the problem, we will need to see the pet for repeated visits and try other treatments or focus on a diagnosis at a later time which could lead to additional costs and frustration.
